Meet Karen Berryhill at Jade Health and Wellness in Phoenix, AZ

Karen has her Bachelor’s degree in Science in Human Services from the University of Phoenix and her Master’s in Social Work from Walden University. She has a LMSW issued by the Arizona Department of Behavioral Health Examiners. She is currently undergoing clinical supervision to obtain independent licensure.

Karen’s philosophy is to treat every individual the way she would want herself or a loved one to be treated. She comes from a trauma-informed perspective and believes that everyone has the right to fair and decent care. She believes in treating people, not just their symptoms, and keeping an open mind when it comes to the direction of treatment.

Karen has experience in many areas. She considers her expert areas to be crisis intervention and forensics. She has extensive training in suicidality, disaster mental health, psychological first aid, and safety planning. She spent a lot of time working with the forensic populations inside DOC and has a good understanding of this. Every environment she has encountered works with individuals who have experienced trauma. She also has some special training with survivors of trafficking.
